Children must be 4 years of age by August 31 to attend our Pre-K programs.
All children are screened, scored and then prioritized according to their needs for additional enrichment.
Types of Preschool Programs
The district offers a variety of pre-school program options:
* Voluntary Pre-K (VPK) classes for 4 year old students located at Roosevelt, Lincoln, Kennedy, Johnson and Palmer
* HeadStart Collaboration classes at V.O. Dobbins (3 classes)
* Early Intervention Program (EIP) at Palmer (3 classes) and Kennedy (1 class) for students that are eligible for special education services beginning at age 3
Children who qualify as economically disadvantaged per the Income Eligibility application and income guidelines set by the Federal Department of Health and Human Services have priority for placement into our Pre-K programs.
